Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all warehouse and distribution operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and alignment with company objectives. This role oversees inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics coordination, and facility maintenance while maintaining a safe, organized, and high-performing work environment.

The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on leader with strong operational expertise, capable of driving continuous improvement, managing teams effectively, and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Execute warehouse strategies, goals, and performance metrics aligned with company objectives
  • Track KPIs across warehouse functions (accuracy, on-time delivery, cost, productivity)
  • Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to support business needs

Team Leadership & Talent Management

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop warehouse personnel in alignment with company standards
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures for team members
  • Foster a positive, high-performance culture that reflects Action Industries’ JUICE values
  • Manage employee performance, attendance, and development plans

Inventory & Logistics Management

  • Oversee all inventory control processes, including receiving, storage, cycle counting, and shipping
  • Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment across all channels (pickup, LTL/FTL shipments, UPS, FedEx, and common carriers)
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and implement controls to minimize discrepancies

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, OSHA standards, and federal, state, and local regulations
  • Promote and enforce a culture of safety through training, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and reporting

Facility & Equipment Oversight

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
  • Oversee facility maintenance, including equipment, grounds, and general upkeep
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, tools)

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across:
    • Freight and transportation
    • Labor and productivity
  • Manage reporting, system accuracy, and operational data
  • Support payroll processes including time tracking and submission

Customer & Vendor Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Ensure high levels of service, responsiveness, and problem resolution

Additional Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations and growth

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
  • 3–5 years of warehouse operations experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage operations in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Solid understanding of inventory control, logistics, and distribution processes
