Title: Resource Acquisition Game Day Assistant

Position Summary:

Duke University requests applications for the position of Resource Acquisition Game Day Assistant. This position supports the preparation, coordination and implementation of game day and non-game day hospitality events for the intercollegiate sports programs at Duke University.

Qualifications:

One year of experience in marketing, event management or special events at collegiate or professional level preferred, or equivalent combination of education & experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability:

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in customer service, event management, operations.
  • Ability to handle physical work in setting up and managing hospitality & event opportunities with long hours and weekends being part of the job. Must be able to lift/move 50 pounds.
  • Shares the responsibility of the mission, strategic planning, and goals for Resource Acquisition & Duke Athletics.

Essential Functions:

  •  Max of 19.9 hours/week; includes event operating hours, with night/weekend hours expected.
  • Handle set ups & breakdowns for events within Resource Acquisition.
  • Serve as day of event coordinator at events.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
