TREASURY SPECIALIST - Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid)

Job Summary:
The Treasury Specialist is integral to assisting with the daily Treasury functions for Multi-Family Accounting. This position reports to the SVP of Accounting. The Treasury Specialist will be responsible for initiating wires, decisioning positive pay exceptions (ACH and checks), and depositing checks via remote deposit. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, promote a customer service focus and strong business acumen.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
* Compile and initiate daily EFT's (Wires, IBT's, ACH's).
* Process other recurring treasury transactions: remote bank deposits, stop payments, and additional banking research.
* Scan non-tenant-related deposits into software via check scanner.
* Monitor bank account activity daily for unauthorized transactions, cash shortfalls, positive pay exceptions, and return items.
* Download monthly bank statements.
* Communicate with financial institutions, accounting, and management as needed to research and resolve issues.
* Complete weekly Positive Pay upload files for manual banks.
* Manage/support unclaimed property process.
* Identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and offer suggestions and/or implement procedures, processes, or tools that improve efficiency and productivity.
* Support accounting personnel with other tasks as directed by any person authorized to give such instructions or assignments.

Education and Experience:
* High school diploma/GED or equivalent required; Pursuant of Business or Accounting degree preferred.
* Working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
* Demonstrated proficiency in uploading and exporting files, creating spreadsheets, database management, (e.g., Yardi, OneSite, PayScan) programs to complete required reports.
* Bank website knowledge (Bank of America, US Bank, Wells Fargo CEO portal, etc.)

Other Qualifications:
* Ability to be at work on a regular and consistent basis; overtime and or some travel may be required.
* Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages to assist with financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting information.
* Demonstrated proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database management, and property management (e.g., Yardi, PayScan, MRI, One Site) programs to complete required reports.
* Perform a high volume of data entry.
* Working knowledge of email, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Salary is $75K/year (exempt). We offer a competitive compensation package that includes a 401(K) match, rental discounts depending on location, rental incentive and renewal compensation, and bonuses. Regular full time employees who work between 30-40 hours a week are eligible for medical, dental, vision, other voluntary benefits and vacation accrual. Sick time accrual is provided in accordance with law.
