TheNational Accounts Directorwill lead the Data Centers vertical market as part of the National Accounts team. In addition to leading the team in performance of their respective responsibilities, the National Accounts Directoris responsible for setting the vertical market strategy and business plans to deliver strong incremental growth and providing the leadership to realize profitable results to the business.Location:Remote, Travel 50%of time, as needed.Your Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis: assess and communicate market intelligence, including but not limited to: market characteristics and segmentation, technical trends, and growth potential; current and future solution needs / gaps; Daikin's position relative to competitors and needs of standing and target accounts.
  • Strategic Planning: develop and drive business strategy Data Center vertical market, providing periodic updates to VP of National Accounts, executive staff, and divisional / regional leadership; provide opportunities to gather feedback from field and customer; lead short-term and long-term planning according to Daikin business model.
  • Key Customer Planning & Execution: Elevate professionalism of Data Center team: drive process improvement for the customer experience, ensuring repeatable, consistent support regardless of location; scale complex solutions with field, manufacturing, and select Rep leadership;
  • Stakeholder Coordination: lead implementation of vertical market strategy with internal customers, including supply chain, manufacturing, service operations, and product development; monitor competitor product and marketing activities and incorporate into communications and developing business.
  • Marketing: Collaborate with marketing to determine appropriate materials, trade show participation, and association meeting visibility; leverage resources to identify speaker events and publishing opportunities
  • Team Management: lead a team of Data Center experts: drive and assess pipeline growth; qualify potential new national accounts and make recommendations to pursue or abandon; evaluate sales plans to meet changing requirements of customers and market; plan for, hire, and train new headcount, and promote performance management and career development opportunities through regular coaching.
Your Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific, or Engineering) or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years in sales or business development; including 6+ years of people leadership experience.
  • History of leading high-performing sales teams through periods of rapid growth in the data center sector.
  • Proven ability to develop executive-level relationships with C-suite leaders across data center operators, and hyperscalers.
  • 5+ Years of related experience in HVAC sales.

  • People leadership experience supporting National Accounts

The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
