Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries, and maintain the general ledger
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Assist with tax filings and coordinate with external tax preparers as needed
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience (public accounting experience a plus)
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
