Job description

Moss Motors, Inc is seeking a full-time Title Clerk/Accounting Staff.

GREAT WORKING ENVIRONMENT – FAMILY ORIENTED – GREAT BENEFITS

Job duties include management of vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. The title clerk is housed within our accounting office and additionally will assist with receivables and miscellaneous accounting tasks to ensure smooth and efficient operations within the company.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process and manage vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies to resolve title and billing issues, including out-of-state title work when necessary.
  • Monitor and notify management of any changes to processes and regulations regarding title work.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all title transactions and accounting entries.
  • Assist with accounts receivable tasks, miscellaneous data entry and occasional errands.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties to support the finance team.
  • Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting as required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in automotive titles REQUIRED, accounting or administrative support preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or coursework in accounting or business is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with accounting software is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
