Cherry Bekaert Recruiting's client is seeking an experienced and detailorientedProject Accountantto support financial management across multiple construction projects. This role is critical in ensuring accurate job costing, timely billing, and reliable project financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong construction industry experience and a solid understanding of project accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project accounting for multiple construction projects simultaneously
  • Perform detailed job costing, cost tracking, and variance analysis
  • Handle project setup, including budgets, cost codes, and contract documentation
  • Prepare monthlyAIA billingand support all project billing activities
  • Assist with developing and updating project budgets and forecasts
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Review and reconcile project expenses, subcontractor billings, and change orders
  • Support month-end close activities related to project financials
  • Provide documentation and analysis for internal and external audits
