Overview
We're hiring for an Accounting Clerk - Shared Services to join our team!
The Accounting Clerk - Shared Services plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Accounting team. This position is responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, supporting payroll and revenue reconciliation activities, maintaining financial records, and providing exceptional service to both internal and external business partners.
This role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with others, and ensuring financial transactions are completed accurately and timely.
What You'll Do
  • Process vendor invoices and maintain accounts payable documentation and records.
  • Apply customer payments, maintain customer accounts, and support accounts receivable activities.
  • Assist with revenue balancing and reconciliation of store sales, tenders, and deposits.
  • Support payroll processing by reviewing timecards and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain accounting files, reports, spreadsheets, and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with account reconciliations, month-end activities, audits, and record retention requests.
  • Respond to vendor, customer, and internal inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account information.
  • Provide backup support across various accounting functions as needed.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal teams, vendors, and business partners.

Qualifications
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, or administrative support preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new systems and technology.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
