Staff Accountant – Shared Services

Full Time Corporate Accounting Multi‑Entity Environment

About the Role

We are supporting a growing, multi‑entity organization that values accuracy, accountability, and strong financial operations. As a Staff Accountant – Shared Services, you will contribute to month‑end close, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and cross‑functional support. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants broad exposure, meaningful responsibility, and a clear path for growth.

What You’ll Do

Month‑End Close & Core Accounting

  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Support month‑end close activities including journal entries, checklists, reconciliations, and post‑close review
  • Review journal entries for accuracy and proper documentation
  • Assist with income statement and balance sheet analysis for assigned accounts

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances
  • Support ad‑hoc financial analysis using Excel and reporting tools
  • Assist with documentation and responses for quarterly reviews and annual audits

Cross‑Functional Support

  • Partner with leaders across the business to support budgeting and forecasting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Provide clear explanations and supporting documentation when requested

Process Improvement & Development

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with accounting standards and best practices

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred (internships welcome)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to analyze financial data and identify variances
  • Proficiency with Excel and common accounting/reporting tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and consistency
