Summary:


We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a pivotal role for an accounting professional who loves getting into the weeds of data, reconciling complex accounts, and ensuring our day-to-day financial operations run like a well-oiled machine

.

As our Staff Accountant, you will be the primary "owner" of several key workstreams—from commission processing to SALT returns. You will work closely with the broader team to maintain internal controls and drive Kaizen (continuous improvement) initiatives to speed up and improve the accuracy of our processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Take full ownership of Content and Design payment calculations and the processing of 10th-cycle commissions.
  • Prepare and book monthly Journal Entries in Sage Intacct and perform critical Balance Sheet reconciliations and accrual analysis.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliations (Bank to G/L) and manage Corporate Credit Card expenses (Brex), ensuring users submit reports accurately and booking all necessary Journal Entries.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly SALT (Sales and Use Tax) returns and assist the team in gathering documentation for the annual audit.
  • Participate in process improvement projects and cross-train on Accounts Payable to support a well-rounded Finance function.
  • Maintain the safe custody of assets and financial records while ensuring all transactions align with company policies and controls.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 6–10 years of professional experience in a General Ledger or Staff Accountant role.
  • Advanced expertise in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) to manage complex data sets and reconciliations.
  • Proven ability to manage daily cash reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and the safe custody of financial records.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize a high-volume workload and meet strict month-end deadlines.
