DUCKETT LADD // CLIENT ACCOUNTING MANAGER

Look no further than Duckett Ladd, where we are seeking a highly motivated Client Accounting Manager to join our team. Duckett Ladd is a specialized dental accounting firm serving growth-focused practice owners across the country. As a key player in our operations, you'll work closely with our clients to manage their month-end close process, analyze the financial statements for the client, and provide support on special projects, as needed.

We are looking for an accounting professional who can independently own the close process and ensure financial accuracy for dental practices. You'll be responsible for overseeing the period closes, preparing financial statements, and analyzing those statements against industry standards, all while communicating with clients in a clear and professional manner.

Client Accounting Manager
You will own the monthly accounting cycle for a portfolio of clients. This role is crucial in moving the product toward completion and the firm’s standard of excellence. This is not a transaction-entry role. This position is for someone who understands double-entry accounting deeply and can independently manage and analyze financial statements with confidence.

 

Proficiency in completing period close

·         Financial statement analysis against dental industry benchmarks

·         Direct communication with practice owners regarding financial results

·         Manage and oversee back-office functions using external/internal resources

·         Full monthly close process for assigned client portfolio (around 30 clients)

·         Balance sheet reconciliation and trial balance integrity

·         Preparation and review of financial statements

·         Identification and correction of accounting discrepancies

 

Pursue professional development opportunities for personal growth

·         Obtain applicable certifications, such as QuickBooks ProAdvisor

·         Participate in webinars or other educational opportunities

·         Internal collaboration on efficiencies and processes

 

QUALITIES AND REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO FILL THIS SEAT

●       Requires a degree in accounting or finance

●       3+ years owning the full monthly close process

●       Strong understanding of double-entry accounting and balance sheet flow

●       Experience reconciling complex accounts without supervision

●       Ability to explain financial statements clearly to non-accountants

●       Has ability to establish a strong relationship with new clients

●       High level of autonomy and personal accountability

●       Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment

●       QuickBooks Online experience preferred and added plus if you have payroll processing experience
