Accounting Assistant
Position Summary
The Accounting Assistant supports the financial operations of the organization while developing the analytical, operational, and leadership skills.
This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting and compliance activities, and contributing to process improvement initiatives that strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency.

  • Starting pay is $20.00 - $25.00 per hour plus incentives

Core Responsibilities
Financial Operations amp; Transaction Management
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and enter financial transactions
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Process invoices, payments, and bank deposits
  • Reconcile accounts, statements, and supporting documentation
  • Track vendor records and required tax documentation
  • Maintain asset and property tracking records
  • Monitor purchase orders and support documentation
  • Support job costing and financial tracking for projects
  • Maintain financial documentation and filing systems

Financial Reporting amp; Analysis
  • Assist in preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports
  • Support reconciliation and validation of financial data
  • Identify discrepancies and investigate variances
  • Assist with sales tax reporting and financial schedules
  • Prepare supporting schedules for leadership reporting
  • Assist with commission calculations and tracking
  • Contribute to financial data analysis to support operational decisions
