Job description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is searching for a part-time Business Accounting Manager, contract-to-hire, to work in the office, for a non-profit, in Richmond, VA.
The Business Accounting Manager leads day-to-day financial operations, including oversight of accounts payable and fundraising collections, and development of a small accounting team. Duties include preparing monthly operating statements, facilitating the annual budget process, and performing ad hoc financial analysis to support leadership decision-making. The role maintains relationships with banking and audit partners, monitors cash flow, and ensures effective financial controls and processes are in place. This position blends hands-on execution with executive presence, regularly interfacing with the leadership team and Board of Directors.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: someone who is not just in the weeds, but can look at the big picture and make recommendations; strong general accounting (GAAP), as well as analytical, FP&A, bring insights to the CEO, visionary; supervising 2 team members; Peoplesoft and non-profit a plus; not a stressful environment
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business
  • 5+ years of experience including accounting or financial systems
  • PeopleSoft and non-profit experience are a plus
HOURS: 30 hours between Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, occassional overtime as needed (3 to 4 times a year for events)
Contract Pay: $34 an hour to $42 an hour
Perm Salary Range: $75K to $90K
