A growing and well-established real estate investment and property management organization is seeking an Accounting Manager / Controller to join its leadership team. This newly created position offers the opportunity to move beyond traditional accounting responsibilities and become a key business partner to the CFO while helping support an expanding multifamily portfolio.

What You'll Do
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting for a multifamily real estate portfolio
  • Manage month-end close, bank reconciliations, cash management, and AP processes
  • Prepare and review financial reporting packages
  • Support investor and ownership reporting requirements
  • Assist with cash flow management and forecasting activities
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and accounting records
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation
  • Partner closely with the CFO on strategic and operational initiatives
What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
  • Multifamily property accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Commercial real estate accounting experience will also be considered
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience with Yardi or similar property management/accounting software is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Hands-on mentality with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and wear multiple hats
