Accounting Manager

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (On-Site)

About the Opportunity:Kelley Kronenberg is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing Accounting and Finance Department at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters. Working closely with the Controller and CFO, this critical role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, compliance with GAAP standards, and efficient month-end and quarter-end closings. This is an on-site position offering direct exposure to firm leadership and a genuine seat at the table in strategic financial planning.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Close: Drive accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end closings, including journal entries, financial statement validation, and general ledger oversight.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to GAAP standards across both cash and accrual accounting; implement and monitor accounting protocols and internal controls.
  • Strategic Support: Contribute to strategic financial planning and support ad hoc analyses and requests from the Controller, CFO, and firm leadership.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline business processes and strengthen the efficiency of the accounting function.
  • Analytics & Tools: Leverage Microsoft Excel and PowerBI for advanced analytics and reporting that inform business decisions.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field; background as a practicing accountant required.
  • CPA designation, or demonstrable progress toward obtaining it, required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a strong command of both cash and accrual accounting.
  • Expertise in journal entries, financial statement validation, and general ledger management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with PowerBI strongly preferred.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
