JOB SUMMARY

Heritage Carpet & Tile LLC., a division of Artisan Design Group (ADG), is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the daily accounting operations of the business. This position performs a broad range of accounting responsibilities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications, reconciliations, journal entries, and month end close support. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, customer focused, and thrives in a fast paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Process accounts payable invoices, expense reports, and vendor payments.

Prepare customer invoices and support accounts receivable collections.

Apply customer payments and resolve discrepancies.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and assigned balance sheet accounts.

Prepare and post routine journal entries.

Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end closing activities.

Maintain vendor and customer master records.

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Prepare reports and schedules for management and audits.

Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.

Identify process improvements.

Perform other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.

2 to 5 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Multi entity accounting experience.

Construction, manufacturing, flooring, or distribution experience.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working on a computer. Occasionally lift up to 20 pounds. Ability to review detailed financial information and communicate effectively.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Professional office environment with regular interaction across operations, finance, vendors, and leadership. Fast paced with changing priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
