Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Accounting Office Clerk to join our dealership accounting team. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in automotive accounting and learn the day-to-day operations of a busy dealership office. The ideal candidate is organized, accurate, willing to learn, and comfortable working with paperwork, computer systems, and multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with vehicle title work, including processing paperwork for new and used vehicle sales, trade-ins, payoffs, and registrations.
  • Support accounts payable activities by reviewing invoices, entering vendor bills, matching purchase orders, preparing payments, and maintaining accurate files.
  • Post vehicle deals accurately and timely, ensuring all required documents, costs, incentives, taxes, fees, commissions and gross profit details are recorded correctly.
  • Help reconcile schedules, vendor statements, DMV/title accounts, receivables, payables, and other accounting records as assigned.
  • Maintain organized deal jackets, title files, accounting documents, and electronic records.
  • Communicate with sales, finance, service, parts, management, lenders, vendors, and government agencies to resolve paperwork or accounting questions.
  • Assist with daily deposits, check posting, data entry, filing, scanning, mail distribution, and other general office duties.
  • Learn and support additional dealership accounting functions as needed, including accounts receivable, inventory, warranty, payroll support, month-end tasks, and administrative projects.
  • Follow dealership policies, accounting procedures, confidentiality standards, and all applicable state and federal requirements.
Qualifications
  • Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply; dealership or accounting office experience is helpful but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with numbers, documents, and deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and data entry; experience with dealership management systems is a plus.
