Jennie Joiner with The Forum Group PNW is partnering with a well-established, global organization in Eugene to identify a Staff Accountant II. What You'll Do

As the Staff Accountant II, you'll support the Accounting Manager and play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate financial records. This position offers a blend of day-to-day accounting responsibilities and opportunities to improve processes while partnering with operations and finance leaders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and review journal entries and supporting documentation.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
  • Prepare account reconciliations, financial analyses, and supporting schedules.
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Maintain accounting for fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, inventory, and related general ledger activity.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting documentation.
  • Support internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies and U.S. GAAP.
  • Participate in ERP implementation activities and process improvements.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and create meaningful reports.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, and other departments to support business objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • Minimum of four years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
  • Experience with fixed assets and inventory accounting is highly preferred.
  • Manufacturing, agriculture, or a related industry background is desired.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • ERP experience required; NetSuite experience is a plus.
  • CPA or CPA-track is welcomed but not required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities while working independently.
