Integrated Dermatology is a leading national dermatology practice that acquires and partners with dermatology practices across the United States. Our environment is built on collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting the corporate accounting function through the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analyses, and month-end close activities. This position assists with accounting for corporate transactions, fixed assets, leases, debt, equity, purchase accounting, payroll accruals, and other balance sheet accounts while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
The Staff Accountant reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager and works closely with the FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Human Resources, and Legal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Job Description
  • Prepare and record journal entries and perform account reconciliations to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
  • Maintain accounting records and supporting schedules for assigned corporate balance sheet and income statement accounts, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Support accounting and reporting for fixed assets, leases, debt, equity transactions, payroll and bonus accruals, contingent liabilities, and other corporate accounting activities.
  • Assist with accounting for acquisitions, including purchase accounting entries and post-acquisition balance sheet integration.
  • Prepare financial analyses and reconciliations to support management reporting, audits, and external financial reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including FP&A, Treasury, Payroll, Human Resources, Legal, and Operations, to ensure accurate and timely accounting.
  • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase the efficiency of the month-end close process.
  • Participate in special projects, system implementations, and other corporate finance initiatives as assigned.
  • Perform other accounting and financial reporting duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • 1-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Public accounting or corporate accounting experience preferred.
  • Healthcare or multi-entity organization experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
  • Knowledge of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842) preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, and complex formulas.
  • Experience with ERP and financial management systems (NetSuite, Workday Adaptive Analytics, and Leasequery a plus)
  • Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location healthcare environment.
