The Accounting Analyst assists in the compilation and subsequent delivery of financial and business analysis for Valley Health System and affiliates. The Accounting Analyst works closely with Finance & Treasury Affairs, Accounts Payable, & Payroll departments. Key responsibilities include preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and interfacing various software applications (for example Epic to Infor/Lawson). The Accounting Analyst will build and maintain reports in different software applications. Requires attention to detail and accuracy. Responsible for performing day- to-day financial reporting and analysis for assigned functional areas. Researches and resolves inquiries for assigned functional areas. Routine communication with management relating to financial close, issues and deliverables. The Analyst is responsible for gathering operational data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Assists in special projects as necessary and supports the organization in accounting, finance, treasury, and analytic functions. Demonstrates adaptability and flexibility to changes to new ideas and responses.


Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required.

Experience
1-3 years of Accounting or Finance experience required.
Qualifications
Experience in using accounting or financial systems required.


Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), in addition to hospital and health system policies.


Proficient in Microsoft Office products required.


Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.


Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel and management in a large organization required.


Ability to work with minimal supervision required.
