Veneer Technologies Inc. seeking a motivated and growth-oriented Administration Manager to join our wood veneer manufacturing company in a hands-on leadership role with significant opportunity for long-term advancement. This position is ideal for a finance professional who wants to grow into a more senior strategic CFO role while helping shape the financial direction, operational efficiency, and long-term success of a manufacturing business.


The Administration Manager will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic insight to ownership and leadership, and develop scalable accounting and reporting systems to support continued growth. This role will evolve into supervising a small accounting team consisting of a Controller and AR/AP personnel.


This is an opportunity to become a key member of leadership within a stable manufacturing environment while building toward broader executive responsibility.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Assist with the company's financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management

Provide strategic financial recommendations to executive leadership

Develop and monitor KPIs related to manufacturing efficiency, margins, inventory, and profitability

Support long-term growth initiatives, capital investments, and operational expansion

Assist with banking relationships, financing, and capital structure planning

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes

Ensure accuracy of general ledger, financial statements, and cost accounting functions

Manage inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis

Coordinate year-end audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements

Learn and understand manufacturing workflows: inventory, shipping, log buying, etc.

Establish and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting systems

Partner with operations leadership to analyze production costs, labor utilization, waste reduction, and process efficiency

Monitor raw material pricing, inventory valuation, and purchasing trends

Evaluate profitability by product line, customer, and operational segment

Support ERP/accounting system enhancements and reporting automation

Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Accounting or financial leadership experience highly preferred

Understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance

Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis

Ability to work both strategically and hands-on

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Proficient Excel experience preferred


Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field required
