Job description

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Develops systems and procedures to accurately maintain accounting records and standard costs systems.
  • Reviews and analyzes actual costs to identify inaccuracies.
  • Partner with operations to understand cost drivers and improve margin visibility.
  • Prepares necessary organizational budgeting reports, documentation for audits and support audit requests.
  • Performs month-end and year-end closings with assistance.
  • Determines and recommends cost-effective solutions.
  • Strengthen internal inventory controls and documentation processes.
  • Lead and support physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
  • Supports accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as well as accounting software.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting procedures.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
  • At least two years of experience in cost accounting preferred
  • Manufacturing experience desired.
