JOB PURPOSE

  • Support and assist the accountant manager with daily tasks in Contador Miami's office.
  • Receive, process, manage and file paperwork.
  • Attend to clients via email, phone call, and in person.
  • Use Leafnet as the primary tool to manage clients and related services.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • One year of experience as administrative assistant or a related field.
  • One year of experience as accountant/financial specialist or a related field.
  • Knowledge on tax preparation
  • Must be analytical and resourceful.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • English desired, Spanish is a must.
  • Above average time-management skills.
  • Great interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and organization are critical to this role.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, multitasking skills, and priority criteria.
  • Be proactive and self-driven to fulfill all job responsibilities without close supervision.
  • Customer service orientation is a must.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SPECIFIC DUTIES


  • Serve as liaison between clients and the accountant manager. This includes receiving and screening phone calls and visitors, answering with tact and diplomacy, taking messages, and directing calls appropriately.
  • Coordinate work with other staff as needed.
  • Make calls to governmental offices.
  • Perform some accounting duties, like tax return preparation and bookkeeping reviews.
  • Maintain active communication with corporate departments.
  • Prepare and maintain tasks and databases report.
  • Provide constant feedback to the accountants and sales team, ensuring internal communication for a more efficient process.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of company and client information in accordance with established policies.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the department head.
  • Customer service: This position requires direct communication with clients.
  • Schedule meetings and send emails.
  • Handle printing, faxing, mailing, copying, scanning, filing, and emailing documents.
  • Compose and prepare letters.
  • Impeccable use of Leafnet to place orders, apply payments, complete projects, and document interactions.
  • Follow up with actions and services and leads.
  • Determine priority of matters of attention for the accountant manager; redirect matters to staff to handle, or handle matters personally, as appropriate.
