Join Dimopoulos Law Firm as a Full-Time In-House CPA. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented In-House CPA to oversee the financial operations of our growing law firm. This role is responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and overseeing trust accounting and firm finances. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and reconcile business operations and IOLTA accounts to ensure compliance with all applicable legal and ethical requirements
  • Prepare and file corporate and personal tax returns and oversee all tax-related reporting and compliance obligations
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and closing processes
  • Reconcile case expenses and ensure accurate allocation of costs and reimbursements across matters
  • Reconcile and manage all company credit card accounts and transactions
  • Process and pay firm operating expenses, vendor invoices, and recurring obligations
  • Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
  • Monitor cash flow and maintain appropriate financial controls
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and general ledger entries
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Coordinate with outside auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal trust accounting requirements
  • Develop and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and financial procedures
  • Generate management reports and provide financial insights to leadership regarding firm performance
  • Support payroll oversight and related reporting, if applicable

Qualifications:

  • Active CPA license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 5+ years of accounting experience preferred, with law firm accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of trust accounting and IOLTA compliance requirements
  • Experience preparing both corporate and personal tax filings
  • Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with strong attention to detail

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior law firm accounting or legal industry experience
