About the Accounts Payable Manager Role

Role Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a high-volume accounts payable department.

• Manage 1099 preparation and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate compliance-related filings and related reporting activities.
• Develop and improve accounts payable processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with accounting and operational teams to resolve questions and support business needs.
• Monitor department performance and implement best practices to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience.
• 2+ years of management or supervisory experience leading accounting or AP teams.
• Hands-on experience managing a high-volume accounts payable function.
• Strong experience with accounting or ERP systems is required.
• Experience preparing and reporting 1099 filings.
• Experience with compliance-related accounting filings is preferred.
• Proven ability to improve processes, procedures, and internal controls.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills across accounting and operational stakeholders.
• Experience in a large, complex, or multi-entity environment is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
