Job description

In addition to the production of precast concrete, Metromont provides our customers with complementary design and engineering, hauling, erection, and field services to support their full construction needs. This position serves as administrative support for the Safety Department and acts as liaison between worker's comp adjustors and various internal departments.
Responsibilities
  • Provide basic administrative support for Metromont's Safety Department.
  • File worker's compensation and auto accident claims in RisxFacs.
  • Respond to worker's compensation adjustor inquires.
  • File and maintain records for all worker's compensation claims including reports, doctor's notes, signed panels, wage requests, etc.
  • Act as liaison between worker's compensation adjustors and Safety Managers ensuring all questions and concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a calendar of worker's compensation-related events indicating upcoming appointments, deadlines, and important dates.
  • Request checks from Metromont's Accounts Payable department for settled worker's compensation claims.
  • Coordinate auto insurance estimates and arrange repairs with drivers who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents.
  • Maintain and manage OSHA 300 Logs, including coordination of annual posting requirements and recordkeeping accuracy.
  • Develop, coordinate, and distribute company safety newsletters and related safety communications.
  • Coordinate and manage annual audiometric testing (audiograms), including scheduling, record maintenance, and follow-up tracking.
  • Maintain and track corporate safety metric dashboards and assist with preparation of safety performance reports.
  • Coordinate and maintain customer and contractor safety pre-qualification information, including Avetta, ISNetworld, and related systems.
  • Assist with management, distribution, and revision control of Corporate BMPs (Best Management Practices) and other corporate safety documents.
  • Provide administrative support for corporate safety initiatives, projects, reporting, and other department-related activities as assigned.
  • Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
