The Account Development team is responsible for the support, training, and best practice coaching and account retention and expansion for all customers. You will strategize customer support execution, communicate with other departments to ensure synergy. You will proactively look for new and innovative ways to ensure our customers' success with our products and generate sales opportunities. Your primary responsibility is account expansion. You will work directly with an Account Manager and coordinate meetings to demo NEOGOV products.
This is an on-site role located in Draper, Utah. Candidates must be available to work in the office Monday through Friday during standard business hours. This role involves real-time collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in team meetings, and active engagement in the office environment.
Work Environment Requirements:
  • This is a full-time, in-office position. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.
  • Must be available for in-person, ad-hoc team discussions, coaching, and feedback sessions throughout the workday.
  • Required to attend and participate in daily stand-ups, team meetings, training, and company events held in the office.
  • Reliable daily commute to the office is required.

What You Will do
  • Develop and cultivate customer relationships with key decision makers and power users/administrators.
  • Resolve simple to moderately complex tasks related to our product suite.
  • Conduct Partnership Reviews (business reviews) with current customers - review current products, current implementations, help discover and resolve concerns, and ask questions to discover areas where we can expand the account with additional products.
  • Schedule product demonstrations
  • Assist with support case escalations and facilitate customer communication where needed.
  • Complete product training to gain deeper understanding of NEOGOV products.
  • Proactive calls and engagements to seek demonstration appointments.
  • Meet regularly and communicate often with the assigned Account Manager to ensure objectives are aligned for the territory.
  • Communicate product feedback where appropriate and work with other internal teams to help resolve customer concerns and product ideas.
  • Generate excitement for new or developing products by keeping customers updated on their progress. Sharing information on product enhancements.
  • Find upsell opportunities through customers' use-case
  • Track KPI's (partnership review meetings, demos, SQO%, and sales territory quota attainment)
  • Work with at-risk customers as needed along with other internal teams to resolve concerns and retain customers.

Who You Are

What you have:
  • B.A/B.S or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years working directly with customer accounts
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience with one or more SaaS products
  • Prior technical sales experience is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to successfully communicate and coordinate with departments across the organization, including Sales, Support, QA, Product Management, Finance, etc
  • Experience presenting both to groups and one-on-one
  • Salesforce experience preferred but not required
