As a Senior Business Development Executive, you will take ownership of the sales scouting process to grow and secure new business opportunities for Derse, before handing off to our Account teams. In partnership with department, divisional, and sales management you'll maintain current and new relationships and support the Derse brand. Senior Business Development Executive Responsibilities
  • Manage and/or secure large programmatic trade show clients ($2M+), as well as large complex exhibit builds ($1M+)
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in each of Derse's supported areas in alignment with sales strategy
  • Research and identify target accounts, creating a network of decision makers, influencers, and specifiers of interests
  • Lead high-level outreach plans including, but not limited to; email marketing, phone calls & cold calling, in-person prospecting, event networking.
  • Partner with Director of Business Development and Corporate Marketing to establish strategies to engage with outreach plans
  • Nurture relationships across a variety of engagements to earn opportunities
  • Build and maintain referral networks with brand agencies, associations, and professional networks.
  • Keep ongoing relationships with procurement audiences
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client communications in the CRM system.
  • Conduct client discovery calls and capabilities demonstrations of all products and services
  • Lead sales consultation process for prospective clients and transition the relationship to the respective account management team upon completion of sale
  • Effectively apply cost of ownership strategies in client consultations
  • In alignment with the Director of Business Development, develop effective execution of win strategies for opportunities
  • Partner with divisional sales and account management teams to transition won accounts
  • Provide regular progress updates and forecasting to corporate sales leadership
  • Represent Derse, our products, and our services professionally in a manner consistent with current marketing direction
  • Keep an organized workflow to keep up with client and business demands, deadlines, and goals

Requirements
Senior Business Development Executive Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar, with minimum (7) years of business development / sales scouting / account management experience; or equivalent combination of extended experience.
  • Trade show / live event industry experience required
  • Proven ability to manage and secure new programmatic clients & exhibit builds with large annual budgets
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, and have ability to work necessary hours (including potential weekends) in a deadline driven environment
  • Ability to travel domestically & international for new business opportunities
