Job description

ABOUT THIS POSITION
This role is all about driving the business forward for our sales team. The Market Development Executive role will focus on lead generation and serve as the primary resource for the development of qualified strategic enterprise sales leads.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Qualify leads and prospects based on criteria defined by the sales process
  • Profile assigned territory and accounts and drive outbound prospecting to generate new business
  • Must call into senior management at large healthcare organizations as part of lead development and qualification. E.g. CTO, CIO, VP of Revenue Cycle, and Director level contacts
  • Conduct research on accounts using sales intelligence tools, including social media tools
  • Develop an understanding of the account's business issues and other relevant information
  • Provide input to marketing including feedback on quality of leads from marketing programs
  • Execute database and telemarketing programs to increase attendance at upcoming events, seminars, and to create awareness for current product promotions to target audiences
  • Educate prospects about Waystar strategic solutions
  • Use CRM - Salesforce.com - to log, track and report on activities
  • Work to meet defined metrics goals

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Demonstrated ability to think on a strategic level and execute on a tactical level

  • You have 3+ years of experience in business or a related field
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented individual with strong leadership, interpersonal and presentation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambitious environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with others both internally within the organization and externally with our customers
  • Ability to learn technical aspects of Waystar solutions
  • You're comfortable in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working cross-functionally, want to leave a stamp on the organization, and are the type of person who gets things done
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint
  • You are detail-oriented with the ability to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models and technologies
  • You are highly organized with the ability to prioritize and execute many concurrent tasks
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, marketing, or sales
  • Excellent organization with strong business acumen who takes the initiative and can work independently or within a team to achieve established goals

  • Knowledge of the software and technology industry preferred, especially in healthcare
