Job description

Data Manager (MMIS)

About the Role

Conduent is seeking a Data Manager to oversee the organization, security, and accessibility of the organization's data systems, ensuring accurate, reliable, and compliant data for decision-making and operational efficiency.

This position is contingent upon the award of a government contract. Recruiting and interviewing activities may occur prior to contract award; however, employment and start dates are subject to contract award, funding, customer approval requirements, and/or satisfaction of any applicable pre-employment conditions.

Responsibilities 

  • Manage and collaborate with stakeholders in the design, implementation, maintenance and support of data services and projects

  • Oversee data design and the creation of database architecture and data repositories

  • Participate in Data Governance activities as requested

  • Oversee adherence to project, Agency, State and Federal data governance policies

  • Develop the Data Management Plan

  • Manage data mapping and/or conversion activities

  • Deploy Data Corrective Action processes (as needed)

  • Provide information as needed for project status reporting

Requirements 

  • Eight (8) years of experience managing Medicaid or Major Health Care Payer data projects

  • Five (5) years of experience using visualization and analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI and Excel
  • Six (6) years of experience as a Data Manager (manager of datacenter or infrastructure type project)
  • Six (6) years of experience with implementation and operations of technology deployments relevant to the proposed solution
  • Advanced understanding of SQL or working directly with MS Access joining relational tables together and knowledge of one other scripting/compiled/statistical programming language (e.g., VBA, Python, R, SAS, .NET, C++ and Java)
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid Claims and Administrative data
  • Understanding of HL7 and FHIR data standards
  • Working knowledge of Medicaid Transformation Initiative, Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) 3.0, and the CMS Conditions for Enhanced Funding
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information systems, or other technical degree

In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. The estimated salary range for this role is $113,190 - $147,000
