Job description

Haalufa USA, Inc., is currently seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented professional to fill an Office Engineer Position for one of the largest rail service organizations in the DMV Area – District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.

The successful applicant will help our client researching and analyzing operational activities to help increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve customer service and optimize overall operations by identifying more efficient ways to manage resources.

Daily tasks
  • Establishes and maintains job record files for assigned projects per established procedures.
  • Assists construction inspectors and contractor’s representatives in interpretation or clarification of contract drawings and specifications relative to assigned contracts.
  • Prepares agenda for project progress-review meetings and prepares meeting minutes.
Education requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, or an engineering related field.
Work experience
  • Five (5) years of experience in a large-scale construction or project management programs.
  • Experience with: Microsoft Office 365 – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word.
  • Communication Tool: Slack or Teams.

About this position – Standard hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one (1) hour unpaid lunch break. However, the COTR may request temporary services for periods in excess of a seven and one half (7.5) hour day or a thirty-seven and one-half hour (37.5) hour week. Temporary personnel working six (6) hours or more are required to take a one-half hour unpaid lunch break. Overtime: Hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours in one week is considered as overtime work, all overtime must be approved by the COTR in advance.
