Accent Care Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows you to provide crucial telehealth services, delivering mental health therapy to clients in the convenience of their own homes. In this role, you will conduct assessments, develop tailored treatment plans, and employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques to support individuals, couples, and families in their mental health journeys.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough client assessments to identify mental health concerns and formulate precise clinical diagnoses.
  • Develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that align with the distinct needs and goals of each client.
  • Utilize established evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy during individual, couple, and group sessions.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute mental health issues or emergencies.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, including treatment plans and progress notes, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Educate clients and their families on various mental health disorders, treatment strategies, and community resources while advocating for their rights.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through training sessions, workshops, and seminars to stay abreast of best practices in mental health therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population of clients experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and transitional life issues. Your empathetic approach will help clients navigate their unique circumstances, facilitating personal growth and resilience. Qualifications
  • Active mental health therapy licensure (LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R) in the state of New York.
