The Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis plays a critical leadership role in advancing Acadia Healthcare's mission to Lead Care With Light®. This position delivers clear, forward-looking financial insights that support clinically excellent care and sustainable growth across our multi-site behavioral health platform.
Serving as a strategic partner to operations, corporate leadership, Investor Relations, and external financial partners, this role translates complex operational and financial data into actionable insights for executive leadership and the Board of Directors. By connecting mission-driven care delivery with disciplined financial management, this role helps ensure Acadia continues to expand access to high-quality behavioral healthcare while creating long-term value.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Strategic Finance & Business Partnership
  • Develop a deep understanding of operational and financial drivers that impact company performance and external reporting
  • Prepare executive and Board-level reporting, including financial memos and presentations, in partnership with the VP of FP&A
  • Proactively manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting calendars to ensure timelines are met and stakeholders have time for review
  • Maintain the long-range financial plan and identify opportunities to improve performance and resource allocation
  • Partner with finance leaders across the enterprise to support strategic and operational initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with banking partners and other external financial stakeholders
Budgeting, Forecasting & Capital Planning
  • Own facility-level budgeting and forecasting processes, including calendars, stakeholder collaboration, review meetings, and ELT/Board materials
  • Partner with corporate department leaders to ensure timely, accurate budgets and forecasts
  • Support enterprise-level forecasting, scenario modeling, liquidity analysis, and covenant compliance
  • Assist with capital budgeting and forecasting for expansion projects and routine CAPEX investments
Reporting, Analysis & Investor Support
  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting versus budget, forecast, and prior year, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Accounting and corporate partners on performance reviews and executive roll-ups
  • Partner with Investor Relations during earnings cycles, including identifying key themes, validating assumptions, preparing support schedules, and assisting with earnings materials
  • Monitor financial and operational trends and proactively communicate insights across the organization
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support quarterly and annual goodwill impairment analysis and coordinate with third-party valuation firms and auditors
  • Maintain dashboards and financial models tracking investment returns versus internal forecasts
  • Prepare Board- and ELT-level analyses related to investment performance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of enterprise finance objectives
What You Bring
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive and Board-level presentation experience
  • A collaborative mindset with strong organizational and deadline management skills
  • High integrity and commitment to confidentiality and compliance

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar designation required, Graduate degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of finance experience, preferably in the publicly traded multi-site healthcare sector.
  • Knowledge of office administration procedures with the ability to operate most standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work professionally with sensitive, proprietary data & information while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
  • Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames. Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
  • Capable of working within established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the organization.
  • English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.

Qualifications
LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred: CPA
