Job description

25% - Classroom checks/preventive maintenance
25% - Running troubleshooting calls

25% - Monitoring special events,KU Information Technology's Academic Technology Support Team is an active team of KU students tasked with supporting KU faculty, staff, and students with their use of technology. Academic Technology Support Team (ATST) members assist with KU IT services, including:
  • Classroom Technologies
  • IT Training
  • Digital Signage
  • Educational Technologies
  • Accessibility
  • Promotion of KU IT services
The ATST is a great opportunity to gain skills in AV, productivity, presentation, and production technologies. Team members will work both in groups and independently, performing classroom AV checks, assisting users in those classrooms, supporting auditorium AV technologies, and a number of tasks/duties that will assist our full-time staff.
Prospective ATST students should enjoy problem-solving, collaboration with teammates, and practicing excellent customer service. Self-motivated candidates, with a willingness to learn new things, should thrive in this position.
The technical skills needed in this position will be provided through training and mentoring with staff and supervisors. The ATST provides a welcoming and rewarding work environment for KU students.
