Primary Purpose:

Contributes to student success by monitoring and coordinating the operations of the assigned academic program(s). Acts as liaison with various community entities, internal and external departments, and internal and external customers while providing the most advantageous customer services to students and other constituents.

Essential Job Functions: 

1. Represents institution and/or assigned program(s) at community and campus events, in meetings with other institution personnel, and during accreditation processes.
2. Assists in reviewing operating practices and procedures to determine whether improvements can be made in areas such as workflow, reporting procedures, or expenditures.
3. Assists in making necessary modifications to operational policies and procedures based on analysis of operations, demographics, and other research information.
4. Assists in assessing program quality, presenting results, and making recommendations to management.
5. Sets up and manages paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as attendance records, correspondence, or other material.
6. Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, policies, and administrative regulations.
7. Participates in budget preparation and reporting for assigned program(s).
8. Assists with processing travel and expense reports.
9. Assists faculty and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of school programs and in the preparation of master schedules for curriculum offerings.
10. Assists with determining course schedules, and coordinates teaching assignments and room assignments to ensure optimum use of buildings and equipment.
11. Assists with the assignment and scheduling of adjunct faculty, and facilitating appropriate communications.
12. Provides orientation to and resolves issues for program's adjunct faculty.
13. Manages and monitors adjunct contracts.
14. Facilitates online course module set-up.
15. Enters/changes grades, orders textbooks, prepares/submits/maintains CIMs and syllabi, and/or prepares and maintains course schedules.
16. Acts as liaison between students, faculty, and college and university departments.
17. Assists with the planning and execution of orientation for new program students.
18. Counsels students regarding educational issues, such as course and program selection, class scheduling and registration. May conduct exit interviews for student withdrawals.
19. Assists in facilitating student grievance and discipline processes.
20. Assists in establishing contracts with employers or institutions to create experiential learning opportunities such as internships, practicums, and/or employment opportunities for students. Monitors contracts and affiliation agreements to ensure compliance.
21. Acts as liaison between the University, college, and contracted employers or institutions.
22. Oversees or coordinates the recruiting, selection, training, assignment, scheduling, supervision, and/or evaluation of internship supervisors.
23. Reviews and approves program internship or practicum applications.
24. Coordinates student participation in experiential learning programs, such as internships, practicums, clerkships, or residencies.
25. Compiles, maintains, analyzes, and prepares reports on data related to activities such as student engagement and retention, academic progress, experiential learning, and/or career success.
26. Assists marketing with program development via attendance at college events conducive to the recruiting and enrollment of potential students.
27. Assists with alumni tracking and communication activities.
28. Assists in planning special events and/or Continuing Education functions.
29. Coordinates the production and dissemination of university publications, such as course catalogs and class schedules.
30. Attends meetings, educational conferences, and training workshops and serves on committees.
31. Completes special projects as assigned.
32. Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Job Requirements: 

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Knowledge:

2. English Language - General knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
