Job description

Adult Language Academy

Schedule:

Monday - Thursday - 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm In-Person

May be required to work on Friday.

Local ELS teachers

Qualifications:

TESOL Certification /CELTA Certification/Teaching Certificate

Experience:

ESL Teaching: 1-year minimum experience in an adult teaching environment

Experience in Business English

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree (required) in education, preferably in ESL

Job Responsibilities:

Teach English as a second language to adults from all over the world (could possibly lead to more available work).

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Plan, organize, and provide instruction in English that meet state and federal standards
  • Provide instruction that is consistent and coordinated with the district’s/school’s instructional program so as to ensure that students meet and exceed learning targets
  • Address all aspects of communication through appropriate instruction that develops each student’s ability to read, write, speak, and listen in the appropriate content area
