Job description

The Program Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and daily operations of youth programming within OIC of South Florida's Youth & Family Services Division. This position is responsible for coordinating program logistics, maintaining participant records, supporting grant compliance, and ensuring the successful delivery of services across multiple program sites.

Working closely with the Programs Manager and Operations & Youth Workforce Integration Manager, the Program Coordinator helps ensure programs aligned with Positive Youth Development, STEAM Exploration, and Career & Workforce Readiness are implemented effectively while providing an exceptional experience for youth participants and community partners.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting programs that positively impact youth and families.

Essential Responsibilities

Program Coordination
  • Coordinate the daytoday operations of youth programs across schools, community centers, and partner locations.
  • Assist with scheduling workshops, educational activities, field experiences, and special events.
  • Coordinate program logistics, materials, supplies, and facility needs to ensure successful program delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and community partners to support highquality programming across multiple sites.
  • Participant Support & Administration
  • Maintain accurate participant records, including enrollment, attendance, program participation, and required documentation.
  • Assist with participant recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
  • Support communication with youth participants, caregivers, schools, and community partners.
  • Coordinate family engagement activities and caregiver workshops that strengthen participant success.
  • Compliance & Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain program documentation in accordance with organizational policies and grant requirements.
  • Assist with data collection, reporting, and performance tracking to support program outcomes.
  • Maintain organized files and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with program staff to ensure efficient program operations and participant success.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Provide administrative and operational support for divisionwide initiatives and community events.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Services, Public Administration, Youth Development, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years of experience coordinating youth, education, nonprofit, workforce development, or communitybased programs.
  • Experience working with schools, community organizations, or grantfunded programs is preferred.
  • Strong organizational, project coordination, and time management skills.
  • Experience maintaining participant records, preparing reports, and managing program documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database or case management systems.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationshipbuilding skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Passion for youth development and OIC of South Florida's mission.
  • Additional Requirements
  • Ability to travel throughout Broward and MiamiDade Counties.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for program activities and special events.
