Job description

POSITION:                  21st Century Program Academic Enrichment Teacher
LOCATION:                 Birch Hill Elementary School
WORK YEAR:             Part-time 2025 - 2026 School Year
SALARY RANGE:       $35.00 per hour
Our program runs for 3 hours in the afternoon from Monday to Friday (roughly 2:30pm-5:30pm)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Teacher certification in Elementary Education is required. Previous experience  working with elementary aged school is preferred. Other qualities sought include excellent verbal and written communication skills, use of technology, a growth mindset, proactive problem solving, teamwork, innovative thinking, creativity, patience, and flexibility.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The 21st Century Extended Day Program mission is to nurture intellectual curiosity and reinforce self-confidence in our students through goal-oriented, project-based learning that builds practical skills and develops character.  The Academic Enrichment Teacher develops and teaches classes with a strong academic component that demonstrates a link to school day learning,  Using the Nashua School District Curriculum, the Academic Enrichment Teacher provides students with support with their homework in order for students to meet their grade level expectations. Uses effective strategies for differentiation, interacts positively, professionally, showing respect with students and parents, expects students to learn and not fail, actively engages students in completion of lessons that are planned around grade level expectations and enhance critical thinking skills.
