Overnight Sweeping Operations Supervisor
Job Summary
Acacia Facility Services is seeking an experienced and dependable Overnight Sweeping Operations Supervisor to oversee retail and shopping center sweeping services throughout assigned territories. This role is responsible for leading overnight field crews, maintaining service quality, supporting client satisfaction, and operating sweeping equipment when necessary. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, communication, and operational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced outdoor work environment.
This position combines hands-on field operations with route coordination, quality control, and team management to ensure properties are maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support overnight sweeping crews servicing retail centers, commercial plazas, and parking facilities.
  • Ensure all scheduled properties are completed efficiently and according to company standards.
  • Conduct routine quality inspections and provide coaching or corrective direction when needed.
  • Operate regenerative air sweepers, parking lot sweepers, or support vehicles as required.
  • Assist with route coverage during staffing shortages, weather events, or operational demands.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed routes, inspections, fuel logs, and incident reports.
  • Communicate professionally with property managers, tenants, and internal operations staff.
  • Monitor safety compliance and ensure all team members follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Investigate and report accidents, equipment damage, near misses, or customer concerns immediately.
  • Support onboarding and training of new drivers and field employees.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and management to improve route efficiency and service performance.
  • Ensure equipment is fueled, cleaned, and secured at the end of each shift.
  • Assist during snow operations, emergency cleanups, or special project work as needed.
  • Perform additional operational duties assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience in a national or regional sweeping company is preferred.
  • Experience in parking lot sweeping, commercial maintenance, landscaping, transportation, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and Medical DOT required; CDL Class B or Class A is a plus.
  • Ability to operate sweeping equipment or willingness to train new recruits
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working overnight shifts in outdoor environments year-round.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and move equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, and operate vehicles/equipment for extended periods.
  • Must maintain attention to detail and strong safety awareness in active commercial environments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, but not required.
  • DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one if required for vehicle operation.
  • Clean driving record
