Job description

Find your calling at Mercy! The Hospice Director is responsible for the overall operations of Mercy Hospice - including
clinical, financial, compliance, safety and administrative functions. The Hospice Director
establishes implements and evaluates goals for Hospice services to ensure quality of care
consistent with all governmental and accrediting bodies. Institutes change in accordance with
regulatory and market conditions. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent
with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards. Position Details: Director for Mercy Hospice

Education : Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree.

Preferred Education: Masters in health related field or business administration


Licensure: Registered Nurse license in current state of practice.


Experience: Director experience preferred. Requires two to four years health related experiences and 3-5 years of progressive leadership responsibility.

Preferred Certification/Registration: Certified as Hospice and Palliative Care RN or Certified Hospice
Other skills & knowledge: Thorough knowledge of current federal and state laws,
regulations, certification requirements and JCAHO standards pertaining to Hospice.
Excellent observation and communication skills.
