The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing skilled professional nursing care to assigned terminally ill patients in their place of residence, as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with the standards of the State Nurse Practice Act. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

🌐 Remote RN Opportunity - Non-Patient Contact Role | Must Reside Within 1 hour of a Mercy Hospital
Evening/Night Shift - Mon-Thur - 40 hours a week - Shift: 4:30 PM - 8:00 AM
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice RN to join our team for an evening/night shift. This position runs from 4:30 PM to 8:00 AM, providing critical support to our patients and team.
What to Expect:
  • Primary Hours of Activity: Most work will occur between 4:30 PM and 10:00 PM.
  • Overnight Coverage: From 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM, the workload is typically lighter and consists mainly of urgent needs.

This role is ideal for nurses who value autonomy and want to make a meaningful impact during critical hours while enjoying a predictable schedule.

Position Qualifications:
  • We require a nursing degree from an accredited school.
  • Must be a licensed driver.
  • A current RN license in the state of Missouri.
  • BLS CPR Certification through American Heart Association required.
  • Recent hospice or long term care experience preferred. Experience with issues related to death/dying and bereavement preferred.
  • You must reside within 50 miles of Mercy
