Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!Under the direction of the clinical manager, performs tasks and activities related to patient care to an assigned group of patients. Provide care for patients in accordance with age-specific needs; provide care in accordance with any identifiable cultural diversity needs (such as religions, lifestyles, beliefs, physical capabilities, and cultures); provide care for patients by assuring effective pain interventions as allowed by their work certification; report and assist any patient that presents with evidence of abuse and/or neglect; and supports the mission of Mercy. Coworkers are expected to abide by Mercy Hospital safety and infection control policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and co-workers.Position Details:

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Experience: Patient care experience preferred.
Preferred Certifications: Certified in Hospice and Palliative Care for CNA.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
