We are hiring for per diem, as needed Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to care for our participants in West New York!

Under the direction and supervision of the Home Care Coordinator/ Registered Nurse, assists participants in the home with duties essential to the patient’s health in accordance with the patient’s individualized care plan.

Basic Qualifications:

Education/Training/Certifications:

  1. High school diploma or GED
  2. Certified Home Health Aide License --New Jersey
  3. Current driver’s license with proof of auto insurance
  4. Safe driving record

Skill(s):

  1. Knowledge of principles, practices, standards and techniques of a home health aide
  2. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment
  3. Knowledge of medical equipment use and maintenance
  4. Skilled in establishing and maintain effective working relationships with patients, co-workers, medical staff and the public.
  5. Skilled in identifying and recommending problem resolution.
  6. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  7. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  8. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year working as a CHHA with the frail or elderly

Medical Clearance:

Employees must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact.
