Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead electrical construction projects within the commercial sector. In this role, you will oversee daily operations on construction sites, coordinate electrical installation activities, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your leadership will drive quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and efficient project execution. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage skilled teams and contribute to large-scale electrical infrastructure projects with a focus on commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate electrical installation teams on commercial construction sites, ensuring work is performed safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide installation processes.
  • Manage project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or ProCore to meet deadlines.
  • Oversee quality control measures, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
  • Monitor project budgets and assist with construction estimating and cost control activities.
  • Enforce OSHA safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless communication and project progression.
  • Utilize tools such as Ohmmeter for testing electrical systems and troubleshoot issues during installation or commissioning phases.
  • Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to ensure scope adherence and proper documentation of work performed.

Qualifications

  • Proven management and supervising experience in commercial electrical construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other construction management tools.
  • Extensive construction site experience with a solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction estimating.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, safety standards (OSHA), and quality control procedures in the construction industry.
  • Ability to read complex electrical schematics and use testing equipment like Ohmmeters effectively.
  • Experience managing project scheduling, budgeting, and contract administration within large-scale projects.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate multiple trades.
