Abbott Rapid Diagnostics is part of Abbott's Diagnostics family of businesses, bringing together exceptional teams of experts and industry leading technologies to support diagnostic testing which providesimportant informationfor the treatment and management of diseases and other conditions. This position is in the Toxicology Business Unit, servicing agencies in the government criminal justice and treatment market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - (KEY ACTIVITIES)

Actively seek outnew salesopportunities through cold calling and lead generation

Set up meetings with prospects to introduce our products and services

Perform prospect and customer needs assessments

Prepare and send quotes and proposals

Coordinate and secure contracts and agreements between new clients and contracts team

Support new account implementation activities within sales and operations

Stay current with trends and competitors toidentifyimprovements or recommend new products and services

Attend trade shows and in-person customer visits

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BachelorsDegree ( 16 years), Related fieldan equivalent combination of education and work experience ORMastersDegree ( 18 years) Preferred

  • Minimum 9 years,Related work experience with a complete understanding of specified functional area.

  • Comprehensive knowledge andapplicationbusiness concepts,proceduresand practices.

  • Uses in-depth knowledge of business unit functions and cross group dependencies/ relationships.

  • Is recognized as an expert inworkgroup.

  • Will perform this job in a quality system environment.

  • Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
