This job is a member of the People Team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing in-house, online and on-site training in the methodologies of loan system functionality, correct lending procedures and loan underwriting in accordance with Credit Union policies.
What you'll do
  • Deliver product, procedural and system training on lending, loan processing and numerous other topics to specific workgroups
  • Create high-quality print and web-based curriculum, manuals and job aids, often under short time constraints
  • Facilitate and customize training programs for lenders and other staff to meet operational needs
  • Review internal Policies and Procedures for accuracy and clarity
  • Create an outstanding employee training experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.

All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in an area of study relevant to the position
  • Two to five years recent consumer lending or loan processing experience

Skills, Licenses & Certifications
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
  • Knowledge of AACU systems including MeridianLink, Episys, and Synapsys
  • Knowledge of AACU loan products and underwriting guidelines
  • Skilled in project management with the ability to manage all aspects of a training class
  • Knowledge of credit union lending procedures
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to motivate a class of adult learners
  • Ability to recognize when employees require additional help
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to display a passion for helping employees excel in serving our members
  • Ability to match appropriate products and services with members
  • Ability to take complicated information and deliver it in an easy to remember format
  • Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to travel along with some shift changes for training events
