Job description

Corporate Systems Engineer
A10 Networks seeks a Corp Systems Engineer to partner with our global account teams and systems engineers in a pre-sales and post-sales technical role. The Corp SE will manage and showcase complex demos and POCs while highlighting the A10 solution set. In conjunction with the SE, the Corp SE will be explaining features and benefits to customers - and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs. In addition to technological aptitude, and the ability to learn quickly and stay current, the ideal candidate's interpersonal, presentation and troubleshooting skills evoke passion and confidence.
Your day-to-day
  • Provide technical expertise and real-life experience in creating solutions, designs, proof of concept and complex demos meeting customer requirements
  • Provide technical pre-sales support for sales teams (SE, Solutions Architects)
  • Provide guidance/assistance in deployments, technical training, and industry seminars and/or trade shows
  • Develop relationships with the sales teams, partners and customers in support of A10 Networks sales objectives
  • Ability to use industry standard traffic generation tools for performance testing
  • Configure and troubleshoot complex network and server infrastructure
  • Ability to debug network and server infrastructure
  • Regular participation within the SE community (answer questions, follow up on comments, provide technical training, etc...)
  • Work with product management, product development, and engineering groups
  • Learn new technology, research, and apply concepts quickly
  • Work independently and within a team environment
  • Work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Multi-task and manage several projects at a time

Position Requirements
  • 8+ years industry experience in TAC, or customer support, or Professional Services or Sales Engineering
  • 6+ years of Layer 4-7 switching experience and expertise
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 2-3 switching/routing
  • Strong technical presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, high-energy environment
  • Ability to work independently, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude
  • BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent
  • CISSP, CCNA, CCIE or other security certifications are a plus
  • Ability to travel when required
