Job description

Legal Assistant for Established Trust & Estate Sole-Practitioner Law Firm

Entry-level candidate will be joining a well-established sole-practitioner with a highly active trust and estate practice. Flexible hours, and training provided. The candidate will be involved in both the estate planning process as well as trust and probate administrations. Estate planning responsibilities include working closely with the clients and the attorney in drafting and implementing estate planning documents, including wills and trusts. For probate/trust administrations, the candidate will assist attorney in all phases of the administration, including: marshaling, organizing and analyzing asset information; valuation of assets; preparation of inventories; drafting probate pleadings, including initial pleadings, inventory, accountings, and closing pleadings; and other related administration documents. Should have excellent organizational, written, verbal communication and time management skills. Should be proficient with computers, MS Word, Excel, and Adobe. Knowledge in trust and administration, and Florida Courts E-Filing Portal, preferred but not necessary.
