What You Will Do

Ascension Seton is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) physician with an interest in interventional spine medicine to join Ascension Texas Spine and Scoliosis, a high-volume, interdisciplinary spine practice in Central Austin.

This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive, evidence-based spine care within a collaborative environment that includes orthopedic-spine surgeons, neurosurgeons and dedicated clinic staff.

Position Highlights
  • Outpatient PM&R practice serving the Central Austin Market
  • Primarily non-operative spine care supporting orthopedic and neurosurgical services
  • Access to in-office fluoroscopy for interventional procedures
  • Established clinical workflows with experienced support staff
  • Predictable weekday schedule with no weekend and no call required
  • Opportunities for resident and fellow teaching, and clinical education
  • Close affiliation with Ascension Seton hospitals, including Seton Medical Center Austin
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates and manage PM&R patients using evidence-based diagnostic and treatment approaches
  • Provide comprehensive outpatient spine care, including interventional procedures as appropriate
  • Collaborate closely with surgical colleagues, APPs and care teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Coordinate care plans and discharge planning when applicable
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with payer requirements
  • Participate in quality, safety and care improvement initiatives
  • Minimal call responsibilities limited to clinic patients only; no general hospital call.
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a PM&R physician with a strong interest in interventional spine care who values collaboration, efficiency and patient-centered outcomes within an interdisciplinary practice. Experience in procedural spine care is preferred.
