Are you a Maintenance Champion in the hospitality field looking for your next challenge?

A & R Hospitality Group is looking for a technical minded HVAC Technician who wants to be a part of a fast-growing company.


SCOPE OF WORK

Under general supervision, the HVAC Technicianis responsible for installing,servicing, and repairing heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, andrelated environmental-control systems utilizing knowledge of heating andrefrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural layout.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs field activities associated with supportingthe installation, maintenance and servicing of heating, ventilating and airconditioning systems.
  • Performs PTAC cleaning.
  • Perform on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair and calibration after installation.
  • Handle basic, non-complex products and/or problems, referring more complex problems to higher-level technicians.
  • Uses experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
  • Advises manager of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Must work in a safe manner on a daily basis and ensure that all safety measures are taken at all times.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, on-call and weekends, as required.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Follow safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Consistently strive for improvement in both team and self.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

License Requirement

  • Universal CFCCertification Required.
  • Type I and Type II Environmental ProtectionAgency certification for refrigerant handling.
  • State HVAC LicenseJourneyman.
  • Hold a validstate-issued driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass aMotor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.


Experience Expectations

  • Vocational or Technical HVAC / R certificationand 2 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related fieldfor commercial HVAC / R and building controls OR 4 years'experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field forcommercial HVAC / R and building controls or related field.
  • Strong electricaltrouble shooting skills to perform the following; connect motors, compressors,temperature controls, humidity controls, and ventilation fans to starter panelsand/or VFD's.
  • Additionally, you may beasked to speak to your experience with any of the following equipment: CRACUnits, RTU's, Split System AC and HP's, VRF's, Chillers, Cooling Towers,Boilers, Gas and Oil Fired, AHU's, VAV Systems, Chill Water, Condenser Water,Hot Water Systems and Hi/Low Pressure Steam Systems.
  • Excellent written andinterpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in standardoffice software programs and mobile electronic devices.
  • Must have comprehensive understanding of safety regulationsand the application of loss control measures.
  • Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructionsaccurately.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Working near moving mechanical parts.
